On November 16, 2022, Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. the Embassy of Japan Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO Bangkok) and True Group teamed up to hold the fourth big event "Rock Thailand #4", where our representative, Mr. Nakaya Mr. Nakaya, our CEO, took the podium at the event.
 

What is Rock Thailand #4?
 

Rock Thailand #4 is an event where Japanese startups pitch to Thai conglomerates at an incubation facility in Bangkok to promote the BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) model, which is considered important in the Thai economy.

Nine startups from Japan gave presentations, and corporate venture capital (CVC) firms affiliated with major group companies such as True, oil giant PPT, energy giant EGAT, Siam Cement, and Kasikorn Bank, which participated from the Thai side, showed interest.

Innovation is the key to solving risks and challenges such as supply chain disruption and achieving carbon neutrality. The presence of startups that possess deep tech and innovative ideas and drive the next era of growth is essential.

The Japanese government will actively promote collaboration between Japanese startups and the ASEAN business community.

What is the BCG Model (Bio-Circular-Green)?

The BCG Economic Model aims to achieve industrial advancement and environmental responsiveness by leveraging Thailand's strengths in the areas of Bio, Circular, and Green.

Bio" is the use of biological resources to support economic activities, such as the generation of biofuel from sugarcane waste, which is abundant in the country.

Circulation" literally means the promotion of "resource reuse" and "recycling.

Green" refers to environmental measures.

These efforts are extremely important in general terms as interest in environmental issues grows worldwide, and they have become essential issues that companies cannot ignore in their business activities in the future.

As for our company, we will innovate to solve medical issues in Thailand and other ASEAN countries with a cancer diagnosis system using hyperspectral cameras.
